Same Milk Same Cow?

I went to the supermarket and was for the first time overwhelmed by the sheer size of it all. All the information and advertising and branding were so overwhelming that I felt that nauseaustic feel. I felt faint and all I wanted was to buy milk.

My housemate came along for the ride.

"So which one?" he said.

I was bored and tired from uni that day and all I could muster was a laconic
"Anyone"

"This one?" He went on.
"Look dude, it's just milk."
"How about this one? It'e the cheapest!"

He started it all and so came my reply:

"It doesnt matter. It's all milk.
Why does it matter? Does it matter that it comes from the same cow?
How do you know that even if it was from the same brand, can they ensure its from the same cow so that the quality is the same?"

Silence (5 secs)

" This whole quality thing is dodgy dude.. It's the same with eggs."

So we settled the issue with a pick from the home brand ones. And laughed thinking about it.

Delicious

It's been awhile that I have used the word delicious.

Delicious - adj, highly pleasing to the senses, esp. to taste or smell: a delicious dinner; a delicious aroma.

Delicious refer to that which is especially agreeable to the senses. That which is delicious is highly agreeable to the taste or sometimes to the smell: a delicious meal.

But enough of the word as I am very certain that most of the time you are able to get what the word means in terms of describibg or listing things of such nature. What I wanted to point out was that I met delicious... yes! I met with it - not in a literal sense.
I would very much like to thank the very soul that had introduced me to this delicious.

I was referring to the website delicious.com. Oh how delightful (or delicious) it was.
It's a site that bookmarks your bookmarks and you'll never have to bring your laptop or even worse your desktop anywhere to access your bookmarks that are so ofetn 'lost' when you are travelling.

Virus Evolution - Animal to Human Transmition?

Charles Darwin proposed the notion of human race evolution; that we are decendants of the great apes. What once walks on all fours evolve to only two.

Over the thousands of years since Man walked the face of the Earth, we now know that the evolution theory does not only occur to the human race. As the human race progress from living in caves to living in high rise apartments, we struggle each day to adapt to our surroundings; to survive.

As such we evolve.

But evolution does not only occur in or to the human race. As we know it, many other things - living or not- evolve.

Just recently, I was told that my mother-in-law's cat was sick and was brought to the vet. The verdict was a viral infection- something common in cats. What was astounding was the next words that I hear; " It has FIV."

You are right. What the heck is FIV?
"FIV is the equivalent to human HIV - at least that's what the vet told me."

My response was(with a chuckle), " Well, if someone were to ask what my cat died of, then you can say it had promiscous, inhibited and unprotected sex."

I was trying to make light of the bleak situation. I didn't know if the vet was kidding with my with. This is the first time I have heard of a sexually transmitted disease in animals. But on a serious note, is it humanly (or animally) possible that even animals have our kinds of virus.

I am positive that certain viruses - like the flu- evolve. I always hear about a new strain of flu virus around and the government advising people especially the young and the elderly to get flu jabs.

Think about it what next in our cycle of evolution. How come we do not become mutants?
